Making Sustainability Easier to Talk About
We’re back on the FleurEx speaker schedule! It’s been a couple of years since we last did a speaking gig at FleurEx, so we’re VERY excited to be back this year, and even more excited that we’ll be joining forces with our friends at OASIS® Floral Products.
We’ll be part of this year’s Business Drop-in sessions, 45-minute sessions designed to give florists practical information, ideas and inspiration around the things that matter when you’re running a floristry business.
There’s a brilliant line-up across the weekend too - you can take a look at the full FleurEx programme here.
The best bit? The Business Drop-ins are included with your general FleurEx admission. 🙌
No additional session ticket required; just take a look at what’s on, pick the sessions that sound useful and grab yourself a seat.
So, what will we be talking about?
Our session is called:
How Do We Talk Sustainability With Customers?
Because sustainability can feel like a huge subject, particularly when you’re trying to work out what to say to customers without overcomplicating things, making sweeping claims or sounding like you’re giving them a product lesson.
We’ll be joined by OASIS® Floral Products and a working florist to talk about what more sustainable choices can look like in a real floristry business and what customers actually need to hear in order to understand why that choice might matter to them.
How do you talk about the choices you’re making clearly and credibly?
How do you avoid tying yourself in knots worrying about being accused of greenwashing?
How do you talk about price without apologising for it?
And how do you turn something you’re doing behind the scenes into something your customer can actually understand and value?
We’ll be talking about customer-first communication; moving beyond simply stating the eco credentials and instead thinking about what your customer needs to hear, what it means for them and how you can make those choices feel like a natural part of your business and marketing.
AND… we’ve made something rather special
Alongside the session, OASIS® Floral Products and Queen Bee have been working on a super helpful and utterly loaded downloadable resource.
It’s completely free, so if you’re a florist who’s dipping a toe into sustainable floristry or you’ve fully embraced it in your business, you’re going to want to this.
Want to be one of the first to get your hands on it?
The kit will be launching at FleurEx, and everyone on the waiting list will be first in line.
Coming to FleurEx?
Even better! For everyone who attends our talk, takes part in an OASIS® Sustainability workshop or speaks nicely to Steph Gillespie, they’ll be a premium version of the resource available for you to take away!! Not to be missed.
FleurEx 2026 takes place on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th October at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham.
We’ll see you there
